Many of you may already know how much I love my room. I strongly believe in living in a space that inspires you and represents who you are. I shared my room tour in my old place in this and this post. After my move in late summer I shared my new desk and work area here. Since I shared my new desk area I wanted to go ahead and share the rest of my new space. I don't even know if anyone is interested in a room tour but I guess I just want to show it off anyway..... I really tried to cut down on the photos. It was hard not putting in every little detail of my room because I love every part of it so much. Still, enjoy this large amount of photos of what is my room.
If you've been wanting to redecorate and such I have a few tips that have helped me love my space.
-Keep it fresh and clean. When an area starts getting too cluttered it tends to clutter the mind as well, so display a few things but keep all the excess out of sight.
-Change it up. I have an inspiration area above my desk. As new things inspire me I like to change things out. I also love decorating for the season. This keeps my room from getting boring and keeps me inspired.
-Invest in important details. What makes my room the best is that it's mine. Old family polaroids that I keep above my vanity, paintings made by me and my friends, and my little cow collection give my room the "home" feeling that I look forward to after a long day at school. Don't just stalk up on things that will clutter your space, but rather refine your space with details that mean something to you.
thanks for checking out my room! xoxo. sj.
You're right about the clutter part. And your room is really pretty and inviting.
